My introduction to yoga was not a life-changing experience.  I did not have one memorable revelation in my first yoga class, and to be perfectly honest, I don’t even remember my first yoga class.  For me, yoga has been a journey.  I had always enjoyed going to class, especially since every class and every teacher was unique.  What truly brought me into a deeper practice was moving to Hawaii.  Living in a place that is so completely connected to the environment made me realize our place in this world, and how each of us affects this earth.  Yoga, to me, is an obvious way to become more connected with yourself, and therefore more connected with everything around you.  I became a teacher in order to share this message of connection and compassion.  I believe that if people take care of themselves and learn compassion, they are more likely to show the same kindness for the environment and everything in it.

I am certified at the 200-hour level with Yoga Alliance.  I am influenced by the teachings of Rod Stryker and Bryan Kest.  I am also certified in Pre/Postnatal through Bridget Foley.  I look forward to seeing you on the mat!!
