"As a lotus flower is born in the water, grows in the water and rises out of the water to stand above it unsoiled, so I, born into this world, raised in this world and having overcome the world, live unsoiled by the world."

My yoga journey began at age twelve, when my mother took reluctant me to a class at Yoga Oasis in Tucson. In 2009 after several years of sporadic (yet foundational) classes; I began a regimen practice of 5+ classes weekly, reading anything yoga related, completed Bikram's 60-Day Challenge and attended Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health for their 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, where I stayed until moving to Dallas in the fall of 2010. At Kripalu I worked in the Healing Arts department learning about Ayurvedic sciences and taking/assisting with their programs. In that time I was gratefully exposed to: Kundalini, Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Shadow, Power, Kripalu, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga. However, Anusara Yoga will always be my strongest influence. I have studied under Darren Rhodes and Christina Sell (Certified Anusara Yoga Teachers) and have accumulated 300+ hours of YTT and CE credits. Can't wait to see you on the mat! Namaste.
